Green IT
The Green It Council offers three certifications, details of each are listed below.
Green IT Professional Certification
Admittance to this program requires one of the following:

2 years IT Experience.

Bachelors degree or higher in related field.
After acceptance to the program applicants have 1 year to complete the following:

Attendance of the Green IT Summit in either the IT Professional or IT Manager Tracks.
Green IT Manager Certification
Admittance to this program requires one of the following:
-
2 years upper management experience in the IT Field, and Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field

5 years upper management experience in the IT Field, and Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

10 years upper management experience in the IT Field.
After acceptance to the program applicants will have 2 years to complete the following course.

2 Day Green IT Summit Managers Track.

1 Day Class “Managing a Greener Project”
-
1 Day Class “Calculating ROI for Green IT”
-
1 Day Class “Creating a Green Plan”
Green IT Technician Certification
Admittance to this program requires one of the following:

2 years experience in IT, and Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field

5 years experience in IT and Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

10 years experience in IT.
After acceptance to the program applicants will have 2 years to complete the following courses.

2 Day Green It Summit IT Professional Track

1 Day Class “Developing a Greener Workstation”

1 Day Class “Using Software to Create a Greener Environment.”

1 Day Class “Green Data Center Development.”
